Anita. The dense forest of Aquicul was a far cry from Anita's homeland, in fact it was a far cry from many things normal for the small red mare. She'd scented her half sister on the way in, the impeccable daughter of the spotted mare their father had loved. Ha!
What a laugh. The damn stallion had obviously enjoyed Anita's mother as well now hadn't he? And the perfect red and white mare had put up with it for her daughter, so that she, Rowan, could have a father; the father Anita never had.
The hotblooded mare boiled as she continued on her trail, the trail of that other white colored pelt. The un-named. Damn fool he was continuing to leave his trail for Anita's keen senses. Whoever you are, you have a lot of explaining to do. The red's mind hissed. Lots.
ooc : WELCOME BACK NALABASEDMAREILOVE! -pets- I missed you Anita. Prepare yourself Merlo, your lover has been stewing for over a year IC. xDDD And comence MOODMUSIC

Moving through the forest silently was near impossible, traveling quietly no small feat, but even with those allowances Merlo could not account for the amount of noise his stalker was creating.
His "stalker", as he had come to refer the equine, had been following him for sometime which was how it had earned its name. He had tolerated the shadow for as long as his nerves allowed but now the racket had become so uproarious it was affecting even his progress through the forest. Enough was enough. The spotted stallion tucked himself into the vegetation, waiting patiently as the noise grew ever louder and calling out as the first hint of hide poked through the vegetation.
"What are you doing."
ooc: Merlo's a lot... calmer here than he was in TLH xDDD and so we say the crossed paths in the Midlands and she followed him here?

Anita What am I doing? What am I doing? Huh, What are you doing? Anita's temper always got the best of her, and it was predicted early that it would get the best of her soon in this situation. The red mare danced closer to the thick foliage that partially hid the stallion she'd been following. You left. She huffed. I'm only coming to find you. Sure her judgement made no sense to any other equine. Sure she would be considered insane if anyone had saw what went on between them. Sure she was acting on pure impulse. But there must be a reason.
A reason for her insanity. I never caught your name. Her tail flicked from side to side catching on leaves as it moved. And I expect it will be rewarded to me. She added in thought.
ooc : okay. sounds good.

In all honesty he'd been hoping to get more of a jump out of her... An explosion of incomprehensible babble was not what he'd expected, nor something he enjoyed. True something about the petite chestnut tugged at his memory, but as she obviously wasn't one of the rebels he had no idea where he could have seen her before. Regardless, the meeting couldn't have been that significant for him to recall so little, certainly nothing to prompt an encounter such as this... Looking her over with a detached eye Merlo tried to assess the mental stability of the mare before him.
What he saw was not promising.
"Who are you?" His voice was low, clearly annoyed, as he blatantly ignored her question. His own query seemed far more pressing anyway, seeing as he wasn't about to give his name out to near total stranger whose sanity was in question.

Anita The spotted stallion looked at her as she had expected he would, seemingly annoyed and questioning. She'd been questioned her whole life, clingy from birth and always addicted to everything she came in contact with. For instance, the very thought tugging at her focus this very minuet was wither or not she should stay in this beautiful rain forest.
I'm Anita. She stated matter-o-factly. She'd already told him who she was not to long ago, she was actually kind of shocked he didn't remember. And you? She persisted, flicking her head his way.

Anita his ear flickered at the name, now certain they had met before though the specifics still alluded him. Any attempts on Merlo's part to dig for details tucked away in his memory were interrupted as the mare again asked after his name, and frustrated by her persistence and fueled by a desire to be contrary just for the sake of irritating her he refused for a second time.
"I don't see why that is any business of yours Antia and I'm not inclined to give my name freely to a mare who, for reasons beyond comprehension, has followed me to a place where she really has no right to be. His black eyes shown with a dangerous light, having suddenly reminded himself how much power he held in this situation. Clearly she hadn't the slightest idea how to negotiate the jungle terrain and they were very nearly in the heart of Rebel territory. There was many a fanatic among them who would be more than willing to attack her at even the slightest hint of loyalty to the High King; all it would take was a few words in the right ears... It was a sorely tempting prospect.
"Do you have any idea where you are?"

Anita He was growing irritated with her, she could sense it pouring out of his ears. Yet the red mare couldn't help herself. He was yet another of her many drugs, and to just walk away would be suicide. Unfortunately, staying could easily pose the same death. I don't think it matters where we are, unnamed. She emphasized the last word more then all the others, beckoning him to test her again.
A light stamp of her back hoof proved her own annoyance, and annoyance with his annoyance. Big baby. she thought. Must be one big baby. The blame for this meeting was placed squarely on his shoulders, relieving herself from her own self pity. I have just as much of a right to be in Aquicul as you do. She was not stupid. He could not call her stupid. Whats your name? Or shall I just call you as a please?

That was just about enough from her. As gibe after gibe was thrown his way, Merlo finally lost hold on his tenuous calm.
"Call me what ever the hell you like, mare, you're not deserving of my name or a home in Aquicul. Good luck finding them on your own."
His teeth clamped shut with an audible clack. He wanted to hurt her, put the inflated little mare back in her rightful place, but he hesitated. Merlo was looking for advancement. It was one thing for the lower levels to stir up trouble... Quite another for a stallion looking to stand at the head of the rebellion to rough up a lone mare.
It was for that reason alone he held back, settling for a contemptuous snort before he turned heel and set off into the underbrush. He wasn't going in any particular direction, confident that he knew his way well enough to find a path again, the hope was that this arrogant burr didn't.
