Every step was a treasure, unveiling a new perspective of the world around her. The short move may not have seemed significant to most, but this obviously didn't qualify with Naline. All these horses; they were in such a big hurry these days! Point A to point B seemed to be the only objective. That meant no stopping and admiring the world around them. Well, what good was a world if it could not be admired? At least the world had Naline, in that case. Moving slowly through the forest, the mare wasn't required to give this place much analytical thought. After all, the mare had been born and raised in this place. She could tell you what time of year the birds gathered and where to find them. She had stumbled across every rabbit hole and owl nest there ever was. Though she had the forest practically memorized, it could never get old to her.
Strolls like this usually took place in the morning, and this one was no different. The mare had been up and walking just as the sun had risen. The sky was painted with various shades of orange and yellow, each color carefully blended into one another. The grass beneath her hooves was still damp, as the morning dew had not evaporated qutie yet. It didn't bother the mare, though. In fact, the cool grass made her more relaxed than she usually was. The scents around here were simply marvelous; flowers were beginning to sprout up and fill the air. It wasn't extremely chilly that morning, as the sun was beginning to warm everything up. In other words, the morning was perfect. Even if she didn't have someone to spend the moment with, Naline was happy. She was greatful that Mother Nature could give her a pleasant day like this.

Avelile The golden mare was in unfamiliar territory, enclosed in a space of many small tree's rather then a few large ones. She felt secure here, comfortably embraced by nature's rebirth and spring. The tree's were all budding or full of leaves, and the awakening green was a wonderful sight for one who's life was composed in the many shades of brown and gold that came with the Savannah.
She hummed as she moved slowly through the forest, an eerie song coming from her darkened lips. It was her favorite story song from her childhood, a song her mother and grandmother had sang since they were both children, a song that came from way back to the beginning of the Savannah equines. Bye-bye, lulle, lullay. She continued as she ducked through branches and step over fallen logs.
Avelile missed her family, her mother and grandam and all of the other mares in her herd. They had left at the turn of the royalty, their fates forever changed as the ventured further and further away from the traditional lands of the Savannah mares. Herod, the King, in his raging, Charged he hath this day. His soldiers in their strength and might, all children young to slay. A mysteriously dark song fitted this mares character, the sorrows she carried drifted into the lyrics and her deepening voice thickened the morning air around her. She sang for her mother today.
ooc : Coventry Carol. thought it fit with her, plus I LOVE ANNIE LENNOX

The mare strolled along slowly and enjoyed the gorgeous tune that the Great Mother seemed to be humming to her. It was a bit odd that the song seemed more real than usual, but it wasn't until she really listened that she realized the song was real. It wasn't the Great Mother singing to her; it just so happened to be another creature, most likely another horse. She wasn't disappointed from this; in fact, she was intrigued. The mare eagerly followed the sound, even going as far as closing her eyes and allowing the tune to lead her through the forest. She even hummed some of the parts that were constantly repeated by the stranger.
A horse eventually came into the mare's sight; though a great bunch of trees blocked almost her entire view, it didn't bother her one bit. Naline didn't call out to her, as the song was to beautiful to interrupt. Instead, she let her body enjoy the music, swaying back and forth slowly as the tune filled the air.
ooc; Sorry, my happy muse is lacking at the moment xD [/size]

Avelile. Before the song finished, Avelile spotted the other mare in her company. Hello. She broke of from the tune watching the mare sway. She smelled of earth and therefore Avelile had gotten rather close to her dark colored body before noticing she was there. A glimmer of light trickled down through the trees, lighting the golden's coat up for a brief moment.
My name's Avelile. She whispered, getting the feeling she should stay quiet. A dip of the head dismissed her from speaking as she stood looking at the opposite mare.
ooc : 's all good. I feel wierd playing this one without a child next to her.

Slightly disappointed when the song stopped, Naline's smile faltered, though she did not frown completely. It was probably a fact that the mare couldn't frown. Still, the blue roan maintained her friendly intention, deciding to take this slowly since the other mare didn't seem as friendly back. She took a few steps back since the other mare seemed uncomfortable. With her front hooves planted side-by-side one another, the mare gave a brief nod as the other introduced herself. "Avelile? Your name me of the delicate flowers. Perhaps your name reflects who you are!" She said this a bit quietly, as if speaking too loudly would disturb the nature around her. "My name, however, has avian origins. At least that is what my mother told me. She gave me the name Naline when I was born, saying that the bluejays flocked to her resting place once I entered the world. Ah, but I don't think you wish to be bothered by petty stories." The mare offered her sweet smile before continuing. "So, my dearest Avelile, what brings you here to this lovely place?" Her tone was still quiet and undisturbing, but just loud enough for the other mare to hear her.

Avelile Oh, no! The golden mare exclaimed with a little more volume then she had wanted. No, I love stories. She smiled lightly taking a few steps towards the blue tinted mare, her ears pricked forward and her silvery white tail flicking ever so lightly upon her flanks. And the birds, they are so beautiful here, I would love to hear more of their songs. Honestly Avelile wasn't named after a flower from her birth, perhaps a flower from long ago, but Sarabi was the one who had named her. Sarabi had named her after her own mother, as was tradition for the small group of savannah mares.
Loneliness brings me to your sanctuary. She only assumed that Naline lived here, but her intuition gave her a pretty reliable gut feeling about the gentle mare before her. For I cannot share stories with myself, and my family has gone away. I am alone. Another step began to make a noticeable close in the gap between mares, and Avelile smiled warmly at the friendly mare.
