Alright people. So I wanted to open with the fact that I know everyone here will probably want to be on the "good" side, aka the rebels. Heck, that's ingrained in you! I know that because everyone says that it's an "unnatural" monarchy that you all assume we're the bad guys, but that is entirely untrue. Put yourselves in these horses' hooves, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Say that you grew up in the Northern Kingdoms and those conquered by Octavian. First off, you wouldn't know any different and you would probably be fine with the whole monarchy system. Secondly, just because Octavian conquered lands does not mean he didn't provide for his subjects. This is what I'm getting at. Just because Lucifer wants to expand his territory does NOT mean that life will suddenly turn bad and everyone is going to die. Things will remain normal, families will be safe, and you have the full protection of a king and his subjects. Starting to sound nice, huh?

There are always risks, but I do encourage you to join what is stereo-typically known as "the dark side". In order for this plot to work (and it will if you all participate), we need horses on both sides. Come on, not all horses are particularly fond of change. You've got some characters that'll be fine with the Monarchy taking care of all of those pesky problems for you.

So what I need is some people who are willing to join sides with my sexy Lucifer. You know you want to.

OVERSEERS: You're all already picked, so I'm supposing that you have a relationship with the king. He'll be visiting your lands soon and might even take a spin with one of your mares if he takes a liking to them, but hey. It's a small price to pay for safety, prosperity and comfort, right? Having a princeling or princess in your family might even improve your stature, eh? Noble families, anyone?

LOYALISTS: So you all out there who are thinking that "Hey, Lucifer's an epic character and has an epic idea of what he wants and I like that" are completely welcome to join us here! I shall be making a thread in the traditional home of the Northern Range royal herd (in Larel Valley) for those who want to come and commune with the High King.

ROYAL HERD: I'll refrain from calling this a harem cause that's basically what it is, but like I said, I'll refrain. Anywho, Lucifer needs some mares! He'll take any one that he likes, really - willing or not, he's one hulking mass of muscle that you won't be able to resist - but some more willing mares would be perfect. That or submissive mares coming from some of the other kingdoms or from the overseers as they see fit - remember, the King will treat you well as long as you don't displease him, and having a royal child is like a ticket to a life of luxury. You'll be free to raise your child(ren) without the needless hassle of an unempathetic king around all the time (cause he's too busy with everything else) and you'll be known as one of the most beautiful mares in the land because he only takes the best, y'know? Remember ladies. Mating with the King is considered an honor. Think medieval times! And you men, if you've got a lady (sister or daughter, or some random one you've got running around) that could be used to perhaps strengthen your bonds with the king or better your odds of getting the throne or just improve your station in life, don't hesitate to arrange giving her away to the king. Remember, stallions are always in control. Always.

So yes, if we all work together and have a good time playing BOTH sides, we'll have an awesome plot! And if you have trouble thinking of reasons to stay with this side, remember how it was in the Medieval times, when people were submissive to the king because that was how it was and the King and the Royals were sovereign and exalted. Think of that, okay?

Gaaaaah so excited. :] Lucifer sounds spectacular. I have a few monarchists to share!

Lotte is the obvious one. Dunno if you might want a thread with her just because she's blood, maybe? Then again, she's also the only mare I can offer for now...

Luna is also an obvious one. She is still a monarch because now she's come to accept her losses and roll with it, though not exactly happily. By now, she's pretty depressed - her children are gone, her youth is gone, and her beauty is naturally fading. She's kind of a mess... xD

Third is Rembrandt! Overseer of the Great Woods, yadda yadda. Not entirely sure if he's met Lucifer. He's a happy enough guy to make me think that he was friends with Luna when they were younger and now he's an overseer... DUNNO THOUGH. Maybe Octavian just saw it fit to choose a nice, hulking native to be overseer of the marsh and calcryx... UP TO YOU. All that's set in stone is that he's been overseer for quite a while.
