Rowan The rain was falling softly in Aquicul, causing a constant dripping sound to tickle Rowan's ears. For the most part, the leaves of this forest kept the rain from her back, but every once and a while such leaves would spill their collection upon anyone that might happen to bump into them.
The red mare felt self conscious as she wandered around, worried that another rebel would stumble upon her in such a state. Her blanket of white stuck tightly to her growing rump and belly and her mane and tail were stringy and dripping. She wasn't covered in mud any longer, but this wasn't that much less embarrassing.
A light snuff came from her nostrils as she thought, a small stir in her stomach igniting a smile. Soon she wouldn't be lonely; she would have a purpose in the rebel movement. Soon there would be two females of Rowan's blood within the rebel power, and she didn't mean her sister either.

The last few weeks had been so eventful!
Raylan had never felt so purposeful in his life. Finally, the rebellion was picking back up! Vulcan was busy gathering up his supporters and finally plans were being put in place. After a long-dormant period, Vulcan's cause was emerging from the ashes with Raylan as its second-in-command.
Today was a day technically for him to rest up after such a demanding couple of weeks, but it simply couldn't be done. There was so much to accomplish! They needed to expand their cause, make themselves heard! Raylan was on a mission to bring new horses to the cause. Be they young, old, short, tall, mares, or stallions - anyone would do. The white and tan stallion would stop at nothing to throw the terrible Lucifer off of his throne and then destroy the throne in the process.
Raylan could be found in a very energetic and determined mood today as he trekked through the familiar atmosphere of Aquicul. It was cooling down at this time of year, but so far south, no snow would even glance at the forest, let alone fall atop it. As he galloped, his hooves dug easily into the forest floor, it showing no signs of frigidness. It was impossible to move as quickly as he was without interruptions in one's gait, however. The occasional log was to be hurdled and even limbs to be avoided. He never had any intention of slowing though - there was too much work to be done.
His calculated gaze seemed as if it were meant to never stray. His brows were furrowed and his lids were narrowed, keeping his eyes safe from forest debris as he raced through. His scrutiny was not completely invincible though.
Raylan was forced to screech to a halt when his eyes passed over that same red and white blur they had seen all that time before. He stood with eyes wide and his head turned, his frame solid and sweating. His jaw began to loose its lock. Was it truly her?
Since that day, he'd thought of the appaloosa as a one-night-stand, albeit the best one he'd had in years. She had been so interesting and captivating. He couldn't have stayed though - his duty called him. In truth he'd not thought of her much since then, but upon spying this mare, it all came rushing back. Was he staring right back at what he'd been missing? He regained his frame's composure and tilted his head a little, unwilling to take his gaze off of her. He was facing her side - he'd know that white rump anywhere, he thought with a smile and a snort.
With a sigh, he addressed her, trotting closer. It was her. "Rowan, are you always in need of a bath or do I just have that effect on you?" His speech was hinted with sarcasm as he smiled at her. He couldn't help but notice how well she'd kept up her appetite...

Rowan Raylan, dear. She smiled, a filly like giggle tickling her lips. Appearance does make a difference no matter what anyone says. She shook as much water as she could off of her rain slicked body before approaching the stallion.
Her white marked head slid under his chin in a calm greeting. She felt safe in his presence and her once hot demeanor towards him was completely non-existent at the moment. Where have you been hiding? She stepped back a few steps so that she could look up into his eyes. She discovered that she was small here, surrounded by the great beings of the rain forest, but it didn't bother her too much for her presence made up for her short failings. Rowan knew what she wanted and she planned how to get it. Hardly ever did she make mistakes; even Raylan was not a mistake.

Raylan tipped his head to her in accordance to her first point. "Whatever you say, ma'am." A smile emerged on his lips.
She approached, resting her head under his chin in greeting. It was welcomed - encouraged, even. He loved her presence. As mouthy as she was, it was a refreshing change of pace from being alone all the time. Raylan wasn't much of a talker, so she made up for what he didn't say by saying things herself. Besides, she certainly needed to be looked after.
"Hidin'? I've been doin' nothin' of the sort!" he said in a playfully offended tone. "No ma'am, I've been gatherin' troops for Vulcan. He needs all the help he can get."
Raylan nipped at her poll with a smile. "Where've you been?"
OOC: LATE. Mayhaps we wrap this up quickly so we can have a sad thread about losin' teh baybay?

She was pleased with his answer, and oh so proud of him for being that high in the ranks. Such a funny thing to be proud, considering they'd only know each other for a very short time. But she was. She was so proud of their child's father.
I've been eating. She nipped back, before nosing her stomach. I know you noticed, the way you looked at me. What she couldn't tell was if he thought she was just fat or if he knew what was in there. After all there's two of us now. She smiled at him, expecting nothing but good to come from this. She knew Raylan wouldn't be mad.
