Glancing up to the sun-filled canopy, Raylan spotted a primate swing from branch to branch toward a favorite tree - it was that time of day yet again. Time to fill up before setting out again. Settling on some small brush nearby, the stallion chewed quickly, eager to continue with his day. What a necessary distraction...
OOC: SADLY, A LITTLE LONGER THAN TWO LINES. D:

- S T E R L I N G - Despite the colder season the rainforest that the silver stallion trudged through was warm. It was strange, being in a place where winter's chill did not exist even in its own season. Sterling brushed up against of the ferns, enjoying their feel as he inhaled the foreign smells.
OOC: It's okay, mine was too. ^^; His first time in a rainforest.. o.0

Satisfied that he'd be satiated for a good portion of the day, Raylan lifted his head from the brush, glancing to and fro, deciding which way he was going before he had stopped. His ears flicked back at the sound of another behind him. Turning, he spotted the source.
"Hey, who's there?"

- S T E R L I N G - The sound of someone's voice from ahead made the stallion jump. To think, I thought I was alone. Squinting his eyes until he finally made out the shape of the stallion in front of him, Sterling responded cautiously. "My name is Sterling, son of Ore. Pardon me if I startled you."

The silver stranger's speech was so formal, it made Raylan snicker for a second. With a smirk, he replied, "S'okay, Sterling! I'm Raylan, son of Neil!" He felt a little silly about that last part. He'd never thought of himself as "son of" anyone, but he supposed it was true.

- S T E R L I N G - Having grown up in such a sheltered environment, Sterling saw nothing wrong with the other stallion's introduction. Tilting his head, the greying stallion flared his nostrils and cautiously began to try and converse. "Pleasure, Raylan. Do you live here?"
