Alright so we don't. But I do have a perk that you all might like!
So in order to reestablish the court of the King of the North, I have come up with a good incentive. Normally, nobles will be of a certain noble House. I'm thinking that we could give some of our most loyal horses noble Houses, which set them apart from others. This means that Lucifer would make it so that nobles are treated better than common folk, and their herds would be free to stay in any of his lands as long as they pledged their fealty to him and were to fight/support him in any way that was needed. Nobles would be free to intermarry into the royal house (the House of the Bear) and ensure their claim to the throne should anything happen to the heir of the throne, or the king, or any of his royal family.
Yay for perks!
So, to get this thing up and running. All of the overseers should have their own noble houses, because why would they be overseeing a king's land otherwise? And some other horses related to or close to the king deserve lordships.
So this includes: Nexmason, Rembrandt, Caridad, Lotte, Livius, Luna, Annas and Caiaphas.
Lotte and Livius would both be of the House of the Bear, because that was Octavian's house, and therefore his children bear it. Luna would have a different house, and even if she takes a mate, she remains from that house.
All of the rest (including Luna) may take any name that they might want for their house. Because horses don't have last names, they don't get super cool "House Weston" or anything like that (unfortunately) but they do get something along the lines of "The House of the Rose" or "The House of the Snake" or something like that. Anything that a horse would know of can be in the house name.
Sound okay? And if anyone has legitimately noble horses (I'm talking noble parents, not the personality trait), then they're welcome to let me know how they're noble and we'll decide if your horse can have a name.
Oh, and a note on noble children: If they are descended from two noble parents, they take the father's house. If they are descended from a noble father and a (usually noble) mare who is the father's mate, then the foal takes the father's house. If the father is not noble or the mother is not the father's mate, then the foal does not get a house name. Sorry.
