Lotte was not the adventurous type of filly. No, instead she busied herself with her own frivolous devices of the morning. Taking walks, grooming herself, enjoying breakfast... Some could call her routine "routine", but she rather enjoyed the quiet that Larel Valley offered to her during such a pivotal time of day. How one's morning played out was surely reminiscent of how the events of the following time were to happen. Any interruptions and Lotte was to be too worried to go on.
She was polite and kind-hearted. She loved all and all loved her. To disrupt her was to disrupt perfection and she knew few who would dare for fear of certain consequences. The princess was well-protected by both her brothers and her parents, though she was sure she needed no such precautions. Lotte had just barely entered marehood by this point and she was humble about her accomplishment. Never would she be seen in a proud air, it seemed.
The black and white filly stood now on a mountainside facing the bulk of her herd beneath, in the valley. How had she wandered so far away and not known it? Lotte knew of her recent freedom from the confines of her family, though at the same time, she felt obligated to keep close. Was it not her daughterly duty to make sure her family knew she was well? With a quiet, high-pitched whinny, Lotte pivoted on her back hooves in a small rear and about-faced, taking off in a slow canter back toward the herd. She was in no real rush, but still the call of her responsibilities called her downward...
OOC : I've adopted a new writing style for Lotte. :3

"Lotte, lovely sister, darling dear heart of mine..." Livius had spent the better part of the morning searching Larel for the two-toned object of his affection; hours vainly wasted. She had fled their home alone and unseen sometime before he woke, quite out of character for his level headed sister, and with each passing minute Livy's anxiety grew. Desperation had sent him into the mountains where the light stallion weaved briskly in and out of the trees, calling out repeatedly to his absent sibling. "Delicia, do you flee me? Does the valley treat you ill?"
The singing soothed him, helped to convince him that this was all some elaborate game. A very strange game, a very distressing game, but like all games it would surely meet a swift end when the prince stopped having fun.
"Lotte... Sooty doveeee..." His high voice cracked horribly under the strain and that embodiment of his suffering was simply too much for Livius to handle. A vicious squeal escaped him, contrasting sharply with his previous approach.
"Lotte! Lotte! Where are you?

Not much time at all passed by before she was so interrupted by her brother. It wasn't an unwelcome meeting. In fact, she was quite glad to see him. It would surely end her worry that her family was searching for her.
And, in fact, they had been! Coming upon Livius, Lotte's canter turned into a light-hearted frolic toward him. Needless to say, she had not heard his song. "Livy I've been surveying the valley! I should think that all of its corners seem free of hindrance," she said with a smile on her face and a glimmer in her eye. Those eyes were so glossy - almost to the point of appearing damaged. Such was not the case. It was only her unaffected and good-tempered disposition that was so apparent in her icy blue eyes. One could not look into them and see thought - only a mean to please.
The young mare rubbed her black and white neck against her yellow brother's, straining to appropriately press against his entire neck and not just what she could reach. "Whatever have you been up to?"

It was fortunate for them both that Lotte appeared almost instantly after his outburst. Just the sight of her trotting coyly toward him was enough to sooth the pale stud's temper. A warm wicker of welcome bubbled up from deep in his throat, morphing quickly into a half strangled moan as she pressed herself so boldly against him.
Lotte was good for what ailed him; she kept him preoccupied, interested, away from the darker musings that sometimes consumed him... Yet at times the effect she had on him was so profound as to do more harm to his psyche than good. Such was the case on this occasion, and as Livy lipped tenderly at his sister's crest his pale flesh quivered with the effort required to keep himself from clamping down with painful force.
"I was... looking for you of course. You frightened me delicia, I had no idea where you'd gone."
A soft nip escaped him and so did the words, "I'm sorry.", barely more than a hoarse whisper buried into the thickness of her mane as a sudden sense of shame over came him. I am a Mare of Diomedes....

Oblivious Lotte was not one to notice when things didn't go as they should. The pleasured moan of her brother meant nothing but brotherly love to Lotte and she was grateful to be as revered by him as she was. It was normal - commonplace to her. His nips and touches were not strange and neither was the moniker. How was she to know that he was behaving inappropriately?
"It is unlike me to stray. It will not happen again, I assure you..." In a way, Lotte feared her brother. He was a stallion of unquestionable strength and position. What he could do... Lotte couldn't imagine him hurting her, though her mind did imagine strange things.
He was second in line, much to her joy. It was so unlikely for Lotte to ascend as Queen of the North that she was relieved every day she woke. The prospect did not frighten her because of such a distant possibility.

Another shudder passed through his pale body, this time born of relief reinforced as he peeled himself from her side.
"I'm glad Lotte... Things outside the valley are not safe for a filly such as you."
It was a bluff on his part in attempt to deter future adventures. Livy knew there was unrest but when it came to specifics he was nearly as oblivious as her, not that Lotte knew. In the past she had proven more than willing to believe him whole-heartedly, and he hoped to play on that inclination again. Livy took a few tentative steps toward Larel before glancing back over his shoulder.
"Come sister, let us go home."

His brother no longer quite "at her side" as before, Lotte watched his mouth move as he spoke, her eyes blank and glassy. He must be right - he was her brother. One must always regard a blood brother with both reverence and respect. At least, that was what Lotte had been taught. Whether or not the idea passed through her normally blank mind or not was up for discussion. She did love Livius, though.
The filly smiled as her yellow brother called for her to join him on their trek homeward. Her steps held no joy as they were taken - a strange sight, to be sure. Oh how she should like to return home. Her enthusiasm was riveting.
OOC: This girl's a mess. xDD End here? Can't think of much else for them to do, sadly.
